Blogging Across America

Les Steele's fancy NY TIMES paper did a feature article about university presidents who blog in order to connect with students. Apparently, I started a trend, according to the university administration intern who summarized the article for me. Because I don't need to read it, I've lived it.......

Thanksgiving for all (except you know who....)

You know who won't be celebrating thanksgiving this week? Canadians. And I think that is a little weird. They've already had a thanksgiving. And can't they have another one for us? Are they that ungrateful? Maybe it is best because I like my turkey and stuffing the way it, i.e. I don't want it smothered in mayonaise and maple syrup. Because Canadians are gross like that. If there is one thing I've learned from my trip to the far east, it is that culture is not something you just get to have. Asians have culture they've suffered for it. They've suffered for spicy foods and fancy floor coverings and inferior eating utensils. Canadians have no culture. I mean what do they have to be grateful for anyway? I think they are just trying to be America all over again. But that's never gonna happen. Because America is #1! As the saying goes "God Bless America... and do not spare the rod with Canada" The second half is pretty much unsaid these days but I think the context still says how we feel, as Americans.
God Bless,
